We made this delivery game proto in 3 months in early 2022. I was game lead, I did the game design and some artwork. On the art side I created the player character and the environment (some environment models are modifications of models made by Alex Pushilin).
This is a location based game, the environment is generated based on map data, so all the distinct types of terrain need to be able to work together. This is a challenge when choosing colours and configuring the instancing of the different props so as to be interesting but not too crowded.
The environment is best seen in the gameplay video - I worked on the shaders also. I wanted the environment to be pretty and welcoming but not to distract from the buddies and the interactable elements of the map.
We created this proto with a team of 4, with the main artist being Alex Pushilin.
